• SFIA Foundation – In July 2003, e-skills UK, the BCS (British Computer Society), the IEE (Institution of Electrical Engineers) and the IMIS (Institute for the Management of Information Systems) joined forces to form the SFIA Foundation. It is responsible for the definition, development, promotion of the Skills Framework for the Information Age (SFIA) which provides a common reference model for the identification of the skills needed to develop effective Information Systems (IS) making use of Information Communications Technologies (ICT).
